Have you been laid off due to lack of work? Or has your fixed-term employment come to an end? Then you have priority for reemployment. That means that you should be considered as a candidate for available positions with your previous employer.
A prerequisite for priority reemployment is that the termination was due to lack of work and not for personal reasons. The second prerequisite states that the employee must have a certain qualification period. There is a general qualification period that gives priority for all types of employment, as well as two specific qualification periods that only give priority for a new specific fixed-term employment or a new seasonal employment.
You should request reemployment in writing.
Different rules apply depending on how long you have been employed and what type of employment it was.
Violation of this clause results in liability for damages according to section 38.
